Re: [RC] vet drop bags - Heidi SmithHmmmm....I would add to that: Dang, I must be old-fashioned, or something... At Steph's multiday, I sent a Gott cooler to one check with a sandwich and a bottle of milk for me as well as my Cookies Cool Cap insert, and a plastic grocery bag tied to the side of it with a ziploc bag of feed for my horse. And to the other check, I sent a bottle of cold milk in her crew cooler, and a crew bag with a ziploc baggie of feed in it, my Coolneck bandana presoaked in a ziploc bag, and a change of socks, which I didn't need. All my other stuff is on the horse--toilet paper, sponge, map, vet card, water bottles, hard candy for my "dry mouth", long-sleeved T in case of inclement weather, and a tube of Desitin. If it were threatening to storm, I'd tie whatever jackets I need on there, too. I do most everything else in life without all that fancy stuff, so I'm not sure why I'd need it out in the middle of the desert somewhere. And I thought I was getting pretty wussy in my old age to need THAT much stuff--I didn't used to... :-) If I was going to get anything new to send to vet checks, it would be another Gott cooler!
