Re: [RC] figuring mph riding - How fast is a trot? - Sisu West Ranch
Without measuring a particular horse, and getting a feel for how fast is a trot, there is no way to say horses trot at X mph.
1. Western jog trot 4-4.5 mph
2. Raj's CTR trot (he is to lazy to enjoy endurance) 7 mph , and average 6 mph
3. Ranger's working trot 8-9 mph
4. Sketer 12-14 mph, extended and overreaching
