The first 4-6 weeks he can have lots of hand walking then the remainder of the time very limited turn out (ie short duration & small area). He has a "stall ball" to play with and there will be another horse in the barn all the time to keep him company. Any other thoughts on ways to keep him happy?? I once used my Farnam portable corral, originally purchased for camping, to make an open-air stall in the barnyard for an injured horse that couldn't stand being isolated in a stall. He stayed in that small corral for 2 weeks with no problems. We placed it close to a pasture so he felt like he was with the horses in that pasture. If you have that option for at least part of the day, your horse will probably be happier. -- Glenda R. Snodgrass Before you begin, consider ...
