Re: [RC] Mountain bikes and horse don't mix - Jim HollandCarry your horse's favorite treats with you when you ride. Every time you see a biker, ask him to talk to you, go over and let your horse sniff the bike, then ask the biker to give your horse a treat. Both my guys are always on the lookout for bikers, hikers with the big packs on their back, ATV's, whatever....but they look for them not because they're scared....they immmediately head over to mug them for treats! <grin> Doesn't take long! We live in the "Mountain Bike Capital of the World" and I'm really concerned about meeting them. My old mare was used to a lot but would freak if she saw a bicycle on the trail, and they weren't nearly so many then. What techniques has anyone used to get them used to bikes, especially on narrow stretches? -- Richard T.
