Re: [RC] overridden and fit to continue - CMNewellKaren Nelson is right. The two are mutually exclusive. As for the person who suggested a rider's being told they can go on if they slow down--that's a *big* can of worms. Once that horse has been allowed out of the hold, it's out of the DVM's control. If they don't know the rider, they don't know if they will honor the promise to slow down, and it would be reckless to *assume* so. If they *do* know the rider, and allow them out with a promise, it is favoritism. If the horse is truly fit to go,let it go. If it isn't, *pull* it. --CMNewell =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
