Re: [RC] F9000 to answer Jonni - Barbara McCraryMy husband had the bed removed and replaced it with a heavy duty diamond plate flatbed. It works great with a gooseneck and it is easier to load with hay for the cattle. No downside that I've ever seen in the past 10+ years. I understand for 4wd, there is an option to have them lowered. Has anyone had personal experience with this? I was thinking for my next truck of getting a cab and chassis and putting a bed on after. Does that solve the problem? Especially with the medium duties? I would really like to go anywhere on one tank of gas (or diesel)! You should see it. I hate it, but my husband loves it and I have to let him do SOMETHING fun (he doesn't ride...) He is a vet who secretly wants to be a truck driver. It is a safe deal, though - we can always stop the whole rig, and the view is fun from there! It carries 180 gals of diesel. We went from NY to Denver on less than one tank!!
