Hi Kirsten,

I've used Old Macs for nearly 2 yrs and never had one turn, but it could be
the shape of my horses hooves.  Make sure the size isn't too large on the
hinds, and instead of buying the inserts I've heard of others using shoulder
pads (from a fabric store) - cheap and supposed to work well.  Good luck!
