Re: [RC] endurance trucks - Heidi SmithHeidi's: Ford Powerstroke, '97, 3/4T, 4WD, 5-speed, 86,000 miles, 12-13 mpg pulling. (Lordy mercy Steve, I hope you can go faster tha 13 mph... <g> And I added the size of my truck and type of tranny, as I think that is important info as well.) Interesting, I posted mine before reading the other responses. I'm intrigued with how many said their mileage is getting better--I keep a pretty detailed trip log so can compute mileages readily, and I've noticed mine getting a bit better as well. Also thought I should add that I do not haul slowly--truck and trailer are quite stable, and I am usually out there doing at least the speed limit, even if that is 75. I have two trailers, both heavy steel--3-horse with LQ (about 4500# empty), and a 10-horse stock trailer (about 4800# empty). Mileage doesn't seem to drop much with the latter. And I pass a lot of semis. My mileage goes up if I slow down.
