RE: [RC] Supracor Endurance Pads - Libby & Quentin LlopWhether a coolgrip slips seems to be very weight dependant. Unlike the endurance coolgrip, the H/J and dressage coolgrips have no billet loops. They almost never slip with the over 180# members of our group and almost always slip with the under 140# ones. Putting a sheet of the lacey rubber shelf liner sold in grocery stores between the pad and the saddle solves the problem. It works on two different horses so far, and my granddaughter borrowed it for the Swanton Pacific 75 on August 9th. Her mare was having trouble with saddle fit and the mare came through the ride without any rubbed spots or back trouble. Pricey, but worth it. I see there are two endurance models: - The Endurance Cool Grip Saddle Pad - The Endurance Pad The Endurance Cool Grip Saddle Pad you basically just use as is, it has no 'cover' to speak of. It also seems more geared towards maximum ventilation and the prevention of saddle slippage. The Endurance Pad, which does have a 'cover' (washable leather?) has a stiffer front section to ensure maximum protection and has a breathable wool underside to wisk away moisture. I can't decide which one. Help! Thanks!
