Re: [RC] Truck/trailer tire ? - Truman PrevattThe tire guy I talked to said given the tire construction today even leaving them sit for a week or two at a time can cause cracks to form if done often and if sun gets to them. The guy was not trying to sell me tires - more than the one he was fixing. I was passing through and the only reason I was there was to get the blowout in had outside St. Louis fixed :-(.Truman DESERTRYDR1@xxxxxxx wrote: I have to laugh--horse trailers sitting in one place for long periods of time? Not mine. And probably not many endurance riders, at least those who have to trailer out to condition. Mine goes out at least once or twice a week. When I had my horses boarded at two different places, it stayed attached to the pulling vehicle all the time, because it's my mobile tack room. Just unhooked last night after about three months! But it won't sit long, couple days is about the most it's ever sat. I let my tire guy fill the tires, he's pretty good, but maybe I should check them myself. jeri =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= http://www.endurance.net/ads/seabiscuit.html Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
