RE: [RC] [RC-Digest] Vol: 03.0569 - Bob MorrisThat
then leads to the question :
Why is
the New article; .01. Any
natural person supportive of the purposes and objectives of the Conference shall
be eligible to become a member ("Member"), and upon proper application and
payment of the required dues shall be accepted as a Member.

5.02. The Conference shall have three classes of Members: Regular Members, Affiliate Members, and Special Members. The Board shall determine the classification and privileges, other than voting rights, of these memberships. a) "Regular Member." A Member who is a
citizen of the United States of America or Canada, and who holds no other
membership in the Conference shall be a Regular Member
Any
better than the old one that read; Section 1. Any person
interested in the purposes and objectives of this organization shall be eligible
for membership, and upon proper application and payment of the required dues
shall be accepted in membership.
It
would be enlightening to the membership if the rationale for the change were to
be explained. Why was the question of citizenship allowed to arise? What was the
reason the Board had this change from a simple interest in the sport, to one
conditioned on citizenship status? What hidden agenda was at the
root?
