I too have not had tv off and on since college. When kids were young, we didn't for years.People kept giving us ones and we'd donate them. Had cable one year and got rid of it for costs and my youngest just sat in front of cartoons (when not homeschooling :}. A neighbor 'gave' us one of their emloyee dishes caue my son and husband helped him out a lot(cost him 5.00 month).But we have ratings limits and channel and time limits for the kids. Only allow 2 hours for sons/per day. And they lose that if grounded.
I rarely go up and watch anything unless I am at the sewing a machine. I rarely watch special news or weather. I do like old classic movies(while sewing). Have a tv/video that is in my room I may put a tape in whille doing paperwork. I probably watch less than 2 hours a week. (too many horses and chores). Again I am a reader also. And this monster . A couple of you have recently included the statement "I don't have TV" in
your posts.  I find that so curious in 2003.  Is it because of where you
live or you just want to spend the time in front of the tube or what?  Am I
the only one who finds that statement unusual?
