Well I think you are rite
Karen, not likely to happen again, very soon any way. I couldn't go on the
76, or the 01. Danged if Im gonna miss this one! If I
have to ride my horse from home to the start, and carry an old blanket and a can
of pork'n'beans! !! Annie

....and, this is
the kind of thing that probably won't happen again after next year.
The 2001 ride was 8 weeks long. The ride in 2004 is 25 days of
riding, 5 weeks -- and IMO, if anybody thinks that they want to do a
really special event this probably really will be the last time it
happens, due to lots of logistical reasons. Some people missed
getting to do the GAHR in 1976, some missed it that wanted to do it in
2001. If they miss it in 2004, I doubt that another opportunity will
come along in our lifetimes. Of course, this is just my
opinion, probably not worth much. Part of the reason it is even
being attempted again is because of requests made by aging riders---not
that new ones won't come along, but the ride management is not something
that can be replaced. (again, IMO).
