[RC] XP2004 - DreamWeaverI am going on the Big 2004 XP ride next summer I am interested in = hearing from folks that are going or that went last time. Annie G. The ride is posted on the AERC Ride Calendar. There will be some changes in some of the ridecamp locations since the trail will be re-routed around Fort Schellbourne, on the historic Overland Trail. I did the ride in 2001 and hope to be able to go next time and can only tell people that if they have any kind of a chance to do something like this that they should go for it, this is the kind of thing that really is the chance of a lifetime. Oh yeah, and if it isn't cool enough that you get to ride 50 miles everyday for 1250 miles worth, if you ride 1000 miles on a single equestrian journey, you can qualify for membership in the Long Rider's Guild: http://www.thelongridersguild.com/ 2004 XP Ride Description: A 25 day multiday ride consisting of 1250 miles, divided between 5, 4, and 3 day weeks with 1 or 2 days off between each ride week. Date: June 21, 2004 thru July 24, 2004 Place: Virginia City, Nevada to Rushcreek Ranch, Nebraska on the original Pony Express Trail. Entry fee: See website. Why: For the adventure of a lifetime!
