RE: [RC] changing membership - shifting attitudes? - John A. TeeterPaul Said: ...waiting for some rides closer to home), I plan to use the LD .... Which rides? Putting that first ride stake in the ground is pretty important. It allows you to focus on being ready for THAT ride on that day.:) As to LDs in general, I've enjoyed watching Stan and Elsie Brown of Emmett Idaho ride competitively in the LD division over the years as I'm sure they have enjoyed the competition. Stan has @1000 miles of LD, Elsie has a few more. They consistently top ten by intension. They are quite courteous when passing the tail enders from the 50!:) Then when Pat Murray and Sue Nance did the LD at Idaho Spuds I was quite jealous, as they lounged by the camper in the shade in the early afternoon. (100 milers coming out to support local rides!! It was the first LD for both:) johnt =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= http://www.endurance.net/ads/seabiscuit.html Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
