I haven't had much luck with them as I have had
rubbing problems in the rear pastern. I do know people who use them and those
people are COMMITTED at keeping their horses barefoot. One person uses them on
50 mile rides (end of the pack rider), but the boots are totally trashed at the
end. Broken, split etc... Basically, the boots only hold up for one ride. They
solve the rubbing problem by using padding.
