[RC] treating snake bites with electric shock - rides2farso I did a google search on 'snake bit electric shock treatment' - Very interesting. I've always wondered. :-) Now...as to how to get rid of snakes. I agree I'll kill poisonous ones on my property. But you an also ask yourself. Why are they here? If you have lots of mice...do you need a good barn cat? I have 2 huge King Snakes that live under the hay pallets in my barn. They are more than welcome since they're the best thing around for getting up in places a cat can't. They also eat poisonous snakes so I like them for that too. (there's a $1000 fine for killing King Snakes in GA.) I see lots of King Snakes around here but have never seen a Copperhead on my property. Rattle Snakes are fairly rare. I've only run across 3 ever. Kaboot is the only horse I've ever had who seemed to know what a snake was and is terrified of them. Have no idea if he had any early experiences or a smart mama (seems unlikely). Yesterday he was wanting to tear up his favorite hill climb and he suddenly hit the brakes and snorted at the underbrush. I stared hard and never saw anything, but he climbed the bank to the left, went well around it and proceeded on.
