Now that's an idea I haven't
heard before. The "middle of the pack" award. Maybe this is an idea
the RM's need to explore if they have extra prizes to give out. Have
a bucket with a number for each finisher (say 1 - 65) and draw out a
number. Example # 47, then the person that came in in 47th
place would get a prize. That way you don't have to finish in the
top ten or turtle to look forward to possibly winning something. But as
long as you complete that day, your still in the running for a
prize.

Eleventh place is no better than
last place. So if you can't top 10 the only award worth fighting for is
turtle. True some rides give "middle of the pack" but that depends on
things out of your control like how many finished, etc. With turtle you
control your own destiny.
