Sorin's scialolith is located in the most common location you mentioned, on the right. I'm relieved to hear you say there is another option than putting him out for surgery. I specifically asked both UC Davis and Pioneer Equine if this could be done locally. As I recall, UC Davis (for sure) and Pioneer Equine (I think) both told me he would have to be put totally out - no local. .Why would they both say this? Their experience with previous ones?
