Re: [RC] LD's & Rider Responsibility - Heidi SmithI didn't know there was a them and and us. Well said, Randy. When I dropped back to LDs to get back into the sport again, I noticed the same people saying hello to me, I ate the same potluck, and I went to the same vets. I put my riding tights on one leg at a time and buckled my helmet the same way I do for 50. And rehabbing from some physical ailments, I hurt just about as bad afterward as I ever did after a 100. I didn't have to get up quite as early, and I did get to see the front runners finish on the 50--that was the main difference. But I didn't notice myself being herded off into a separate "LD" camp or being treated like a 2nd class citizen--nope, just heard a lot of folks saying, "Hey, Heidi! Good to see you back on a horse!"
