I just wanted to drop a note thanking everyone who gave me advice and
assistance this weekend at Oak Leaf Run.  This sport is absolutely fabulous,
and a big part of what makes it so is the members of the sport who don't
hesitate in giving a helping hand to a newbie like myself.  In particular I
would like to thank Charles, Linda, Becke and the volunteers, especially the
one who gave me water out of the manager's cooler when I was parched (you
know who you are :)).

To all you newbies out there - get out there!
