Thank you to all who answered my question awhile
back about breeding contracts.  You gave me some good insight as to what
to expect.
I could use some further input....... The situation is this:
(Does not involve anyone on Ridecamp)
1. The owner of the stallion was to bring him to my home town to stand at
a place I'm familiar/comfortable with where he would be handled by someone
who has handled well over 20 stallions successfully in the past.  I &
several others were only willing to breed if he were here locally.
2.  When the owner & I met, she had forgotten the mare contracts but
wanted me to pay the booking fees for both of my mares.  I paid her one booking
fee & said I'd send her the other one just as soon as I received the
contracts.
3.  She never sent any contracts.
4.  While trying to tease a mare, the stallion savaged the local handler
(bite her on the breast, collarbone, got her on the ground & stomped
on her back & arm).
5.  Owner has taken the stallion home (200 miles away).
6.  Owner says too bad about my booking fee, she's keeping it.
Any words of wisdom from you all would be appreciated.
