[RC] diesel dodge re - Roger RittenhouseFrom: "Marlene Moss" <mossrockendurance@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [RC] 2001 Dodge problem Hi, We've got a 2001 Dodge Ram Cummins Turbo Diesel. It has recently developed this bucking behavior that seems to vary with the temp of the change the fuel filters every 10 to 15 k no matter what dodge says. ALWAYS carry a spare fuel filter with you and the tools to change it on the road. run a fuel additive I use Performance Service - white gal jug from NAPA.. Run BIOGUARD - a bio-cide - hot humid weather grows junk in the tank You may have trash in the tank - requires a removal and good clean out. -- and the turbo brake WILL void the warranty. IF you take it in to Dodge for warranty service - they can and may void it.. no matter if it caused the problem or not.. Does not matter what some congress act says - you still have to get a lawyer and fight them - and you will loose. You need to find a dealer who is mod friendly. then the exhaust brake COULD be closing at the wrong time?? maybe disconnect it so it will not function and see if the problem stops.? You can go on the net and look for a DODGE Diesel web site forum. I have a FORD PSD and hang out on the Ford list just reading.. I assume you change the oil and the oil filter at 3000 miles?
