Can anyone explain to a person that's interested in getting started with
CTR just what is a sport saddle? Where can I go to look for special
saddles on the net? Would an Assie saddle work? Thanks ;-)

(Rhonda... check out www.sportsaddle.com for info.)

Maggie - yes, that's the explanation I've been given.  Also been told to use a
pad (such as Skito) that has a channel for the spine.

Bonnie - Good point.  Luckily, I don't usually gait much on an actual
CTR/Endurance ride, because he's too slow.  He's got a nice trot that we use on
those rides.  We only gait on training rides, up to 20mi or so.  Thank you for
pointing that out, though... something to keep in mind for sure!

Anyone have a 15" (or maybe 15.5") BM Sports Saddle I could try for a couple
weeks?  ;)

Everyone - Thanks for the pointers - keep 'em coming!  I want to spend under
$1,000 ... the lower the better as it's going to be a credit card purchase!!!!!!
