[RC] Timex Speed & Distance Watch - Dana B.

I used mine for the first time in the canyon between Auburn and Cool (for those familiar with that area).  I was concerned that it would not work as not only are there lots of trees, but the steep canyon walls make for absolutely zero cell phone reception.  The Timex GPX worked famously the whole way!  I was thrilled. So don't count out doubtful areas.

I love this toy, er, I mean tool.  It was  the best mother's day present ever!  Just as nice as the double wheel wheelbarrow.   [I have an awesome familiy who knows me so well (and can really take hints...)]

By the way I ordered the GPS case from Running Bear that straps on my Camelback and it works great for holding the GPS unit.  I wasn't fond of it being strapped to my arm, and in this case it's easy to turn off and on as well.  See stock # COMMPOCKET

These watches are based on GPS movement and if you ride in forested areas,
you can't get a reading on the GPS, correct?
