[RC] Small horses in Endurance - beth gloverIt was interesting to me reading Renie's comments, because we were just at Joe Hampton's house on the Fourth of July, while we were supposed to be at our uncles's house next door. Joe and his wife told me wonderful stories about Tarbee, and how he was such a great little horse of 850 lbs. He told us that Tarbee has passed away, he was in his 30's. Tarbee had top tenned a lot of times, and won some Best conditions. I think he was the little dark bay horse that I was always feeding treats over the fence when we went to visit family. (You'all know how that is...go to a family gathering...non-horse people, and pretty soon you spy a horse down the way, mosey on down there, and before you know it...you've happily made a new friend of that neighbor guy down there that used to ride insane distances. ha ha ha) p.s. I absolutely love chatting with the "old timers", they are a treasure trove of wonderful stories, and knowledge to share. Beth Add photos to your messages with MSN 8.
