[RC] you old polar hrm - Roger Rittenhouse

Susan

I use to build my V-MAX with the Polar components 5 years ago. Problems
with us and Polar has caused me to use components from other mfgrs. Also
the new components we use are new technology and all feature user
changeable batteries - leads and electrodes.

Thus I no longer repair the Polar parts.
HOWEVER ALL is NOT lost - call Polar at 800 227 1314

They MAY fix it but lately they have not been too supportive . This
component -Transmitter pe4000 has been out of production for at least 3
years.

While I really do not want to sound like a salesman, but there comes a time
when it is best to look at new components and new technology.
Even if you do not get a V-MAX - I would suggest looking at other
products out there from us or Steve at Equine Performance in CA.

I DO NOT recommend the copied Polar equine HRM - it has been reported to
have many issues.

While you may feel left out holding the bag - so speak- many small mfrg
such as EPT /V-MAX can only afford to provide support for current
production components.

I hope I provide some help.

Subject: [RC] heart rate monitor question

I have an older model heart rate monitor, a Polar PE 4000, for which I
can
get no service. I can't get a jeweler to get the battery out, and it
probably
needs cleaning or something too.

Does anyone know anything about this company or who I can send it to, for

repair and service?

Thanks,
Susan
