Re: [RC] Statistics on Pulls.... - rides2farMost people refer to them as multi-day RIDES> vs.> single day RACES My experience is that wherever you go, the top 10 or 15 are *racing*, everyone else came to *ride*. Next year they may *race* the same horse. When I wasn't a top 10'er I always called them endurance rides. When I started going for points I never consciously changed but started calling them races. Now I'm beginning to call them rides again. It's whatever you want it to be that day. But regardless of whether it's a "Multi-day RIDE" or not. First in each weight division is going to get that 150 points and they raced for it. I think it's up to the people like Steph who compete at every level to figure out why a horse is 7x less likely to be pulled for lameness at a multi-day. Some of you who do all types of rides. You're the same horse & rider team. Look at your records. Are *you* less likely to be pulled at multi-days? Are your ride times different than *your* average? People who run up front at multi's. Do you get pulled more often running up front at one day rides? You guys are the ones who have the information to figure the mystery out. If doing multi-days will make my horse sound I'm willing to commute. >g< Angie ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
