[RC] [Guest] Cantering - Ridecamp Moderator

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about cantering as opposed to trotting at an endurance ride. I've heard that many FEI endurance riders canter instead of trot to increase their speed. How does this affect the horse? Is it good or bad? Does it depend on the horse? Do you need to train differently?

Any information that could be shared about this would be really appreciated.
