When I used to breed dogs we placed over 75 chips, out of that 75, 25 moved from the shoulderblade placement. One was found at the bottom of the rib cage. Chips cost money. $15-25 if you are willing to insert them yourself, I am sure most vets will charge a minimun of $45 plus the chip. Wouldn't it be cheaper to freeze brand if this is really a problem?
