[RC] Fly Spray - Flicks - Jim HollandIn last month's "John Lyons Perfect Horse" they had an article on fly sprays. Tests on leading brands. The "winner" was a "natural" product called "Flicks". I'm always looking for something better to keep my guys from "stomping flies", so I ordered some from State Line. Took about two weeks...it was on backorder...but finally got it and gave it a try. I'm really impressed. Most fly spray does not keep flies from "landing" on the horse....it may discourage biting flies from staying there long enough to bite, but most "stomping" is due to plain old house flies...the horse doesn't know they don't bite, so is continually stomping. Flicks works really well. I sprayed the guys legs and ALL flies immediately disappeared... and it lasts for a long time. It has one down side, which is not really a down side unless you don't like peppermint. It smells STRONGLY of peppermint (probably contains peppermint oil) for a long time. To me, that's a positive....I love peppermint...and it beats the heck out of the chemical smell of the other sprays. DON'T get it in their eyes.... There is nothing on the bottle that says what is in it...only that it is "natural". Try it....I love the stuff.....
