My brother-in-lawlivesnext door and when he mows, he collects several handfuls of fresh grass clippings to give to my horses. I personally don't feel they needanything morethan what I feed them, but I don't want to cause hard feelings if it's not harmful. Any hard data on this? Thanks.Haven't seen an answer to this one, so I'll chime in. In a word, NO. In a small quantity (handful sort of thing) as a treat there isn't likely any harm in it, but in quantity, grass clippings have a tendency to impact and ferment, causing some pretty nasty colics.
