Re: [RC] recipe for human electrolytes? - Glenda R. SnodgrassThanks to all who responded to my query. I tried the homemade recipe yesterday (using 1 tsp. frozen orange juice concentrate and 1/8 tsp salt to 8 oz water) and it worked well for me. I didn't add any sugar, just didn't seem to need it, the taste was fine without it (not great but certainly drinkable), and I felt great. I also ordered some Electro-Mix from Alacer Corp. (http://www.alacercorp.com) which is a powdered mix with no sweetener of any kind added. Alacer has several no-sugar options and this one seemed the best for me. I'd be concerned about orange juice going bad in the heat, when I have to mix it up several hours ahead of time and can't keep it in a cooler, so I wanted some powdered mix type as a backup for all-day outings. -- Glenda R.
