[RC] OD cancellation - we were on our way!! - Laura Hayes

WE WERE!!!  We were supposed to leave yesterday but got detained, then got a
late start this morning.  We stopped for fuel about 10 miles from home, just
over the PA border and Quentin Llopp called our cell phone.  He must have
called while we were out of the truck, but the phone has a little chime when
there is a voice mail.  Luckily we were only 12 miles from home!!

As disappointing as it is, I couldn't do the 100 due to my mare being off
while brewing her abscess and not getting enough work on her - so I guess I
am not really too upset.  I would have been miserable doing the 50 and
thinking of the 100 milers.

As it was, I had my husband drop the horse and me off in the National Forest
south of here and I rode a big loop and then home.  My GPS ran out of
battery after 13 miles, but I figure I got in at least 20.  It was a great
training ride.  Now I have 5 days off with no appointments or
meetings.....yippppeee!!

Hope the monsoon season ends soon-
