Last weekend I won a cooler and a medallion and I also got a T-shirt (given
out when I signed in) AND a top ten T-shirt given out at awards...all cool
"things" that I will love and enjoy for many years to come.  Nelson
camcorded some of the event.  At the end when I was racing for first
heavyweight, the battery died.  He was sooooo upset.  But THAT feeling of
racing in, of digging down deep inside myself and surpassing the fear of the
wet grass and the clay underneath and asking my horse to give me something I
didn't necessarily deserve from him but wanted anyway and he GAVE it to me
with joy and abandon....that feeling is an award that no ride manager will
ever be able to duplicate.  The ride IS the prize.  :)  And I don't need to
watch it on video to have it with me forever.  :)
