Re: [RC] marking tape and cloths pins - Linda ParrishOkay, I'm way behind in reading my emails, but I just had to add to this one.... My all-time-favorite was marking trail with the clothes pin ribbons one day, then while going back out to check prior to the ride, I found one section of about two miles where some poor soul had took the time to un-tie the ribbons and drop them on the ground and take the clothes pins. >sigh< I would have gladly bought them a bag of clothes pins, bless their hearts, if I had just known they needed some so bad! >g< Linda Parrish ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jonni Jewell" If you do tie your marking tape to clothes pins, to mark trail, don't bother if it is in an area that has a lot of pleasure riders, hikers, or public access. Seems that the ease to unclip those clothes pins is just beyond the self control of some folks. I have seen more trails UNMARKED before a ride that used clothes pins, than rides that tied direct to the trees etc. We have even had clothes pin attached ribbons unclipped, and redirected down a wrong trail. <sigh> Folks who do that crap rate right up there with those who create computer viruses. Don't they have something better to do??????? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
