Re: [RC] [Guest] teeth in regards to lamenss - Heidi Smith

angela mccorkle@xxxxxxxxxxx

I have been researching lameness regarding problems with teeth and I am
wondering if my mare is "OFF" due to dental problems. She drops most of
her
grain when eating and seems to hold her head high when trotting and just
seems slightly off. Anyone ever have a horse lame due to its teeth?

Angela mccorkle@xxxxxxxxxxx

Yes, yes, yes! Dental problems impact how the horse carries its poll and
neck, which in turn can cause the horse to compensate through the body and
stress legs unevenly!

Heidi
