[RC] [Guest] Guidelines for Trail Riding - Ridecamp Guest

Tara tara@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I rode endurance for a few years before my horse developed a permanant
lameness. During my experience with the sport, I learned alot about safety
on the trail and things you should and shouldn't do on a trail ride. Now I
board at a barn that has lots of trails that are easily accessable and it
disturbs me to see relatively inexperienced riders going out on the trails
and sometimes having negative experiences due to simple lack of knowledge
regarding basic trail riding etiquette. Many times they are getting "turned
off" to trail riding based on experiences created by un-safe or "rude"
inexperienced trail riders. Does anyone know of a list of guidelines that I
could post at the barn for people to see? I know it won't completely solve
the situation, but I will feel better knowing I have at least provided them
with good information.
