Re: [RC] surveyor's marking tape - RDCARRIEThe cheapest place I've seen the tape is in catalogs that sell forestry supplies. Two good ones are Forestry Suppliers and Ben Meadows (both also have websites). You generally get a bit of a price break if you buy 12 or more rolls of a given color. It's called "flagging" in the catalogs. I work for the Forest Service and use all colors. The hot pink shows up great (probably the best). Orange is also good. Yellow is deceptively hard to see if there are lots of hardwood leaves (even green ones) where you're hanging it (should work pretty well with evergreen trees, though). Dark blue is also hard to see. Red is pretty good. And like you said, combining a color with a piece of white makes it even better.
