[RC] Stonewall saddles - Karen Parker

I had a Stonewall saddle custom made for my old stallion Mirab about 20
yrs ago. He moved better in it than anything I ever rode him in. It is the
one that looks like an english saddle in front. I don't remember what he
called that model. It has a shock foam seat and shock foam stirrups that
hung right under me. Under the tree is also shock foam. I loved riding it on
the flat but never did learn to like it down hill. It held up well even with
the thin leather. Needs new sheepskin lining underneath now. My friend Cathy
had the one that looks like the McClellen in front. She loved it and used to
jump in it as well as endurance ride. They were really reasonably priced
back then-no idea what they cost now. Also very light weight. Like any other
saddle, if it fits the horse and you are comfortable it is great. Karen
