[RC] Liberty Run Directions - Rides 2 FarHelp! Anybody have the word document with the directions and ride info for Liberty Run Just head for Augusta, and follow the signs to Fort Gordon. You can't miss it. It's the size of Rhode Island. O.K. O.K. I'll type it. I'm going to post to Ridecamp since someone else was hunting it to and they said it's not on-line: From I-20 take exit 194 (Belair Rd.) south onto Ft. Gordon Gate 1 and from there follow the signs-which should guide you on the following route: (note from Angie, she puts up small AERC signs with flagging that are very easy to follow so you won't need this stuff that I'm going to type anyway to make you feel better) From the Ft. Gordan entrance Gate 1, continue on Chamberlain. Go left on 15th st. Turn right on 3rd, then left on 12th. Turn right on Range and go approx. 5-6 miles. Go right on Gibson between range control and the water point. Go 1.8 miles to Leitner Lake Rec. Area just over the bridge on the right. That'll get you there. You might want to pay attention because we've had a lot more trouble getting out than in. If you miss a turn you can drive around forever back there. I'd fill up with gas *before* I headed onto the base. One year I was almost empty and got lost on base. Finally saw a Conoco station and was so happy. Stopped and filled up. Went in to pay and found out it was a base service station and civilians weren't allowed to buy there! *oops* Since they didn't want to siphon it back out they let me off that time. >g< Tell everybody I said "Hi". P.S. What's the bid up to on your Toklat pad? Angie ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
