Re: [RC] truck lengths - Lynne GlazerIt seems like few people buy the standard cab trucks any more, which is why I got such a great way-into-the-new-model-year, loaded, 4-on-the-lot deal. Mine is a daily use vehicle, with 35,000 miles in the first year of operation (thanks be it's a diesel, and so was its 200K mile predecessor). 3/4 ton, 8 foot bed.I can whip U turns (well, not whip with the horses in) in pretty close to standard left turn lanes, with the 4 horse gooseneck, non-tapered nose. That extra 20" for the extended cab would make it hard for me to drive in some of the hilly densely populated areas I go to for work purposes (like the Hollywood Hills), and for parking as well as making U turns. The "cowboy cadillac" 4 door version can't seem to make turns well at all. Anybody tried the Quadrasteer on the Silverados? Dodge has a lot of storage bins behind the seats that store every kind of outergear in stuff bags as well as all my photography gear and work tools. Obviously, I have no chillun to haul and my occasional crew rides up front. Lynne On Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at 12:18 PM, LRN8554@xxxxxxx wrote: I'm wading in with my 2 cents worth.
