Re: [RC] pregancy and riding - rides2farYou'll get pretty strong opinions as to whether to ride or not. You're going to have to make up your own mind. I chose not to ride *at all* once I found out I was pregnant...but then I had the foresight to make sure my horse had a tendon injury first so that made it a little easier. >g< I rode one time. I got on my student's 25 year old totally dead broke pony to show her something and *she* bucked me off! Learned my lesson. If ol' Abby could be unpredictable any horse could. I honestly don't believe riding would hurt anything. But runaways, horses that get into bees and buck, holes they trip in...those things can happen. You don't need to be getting x-rays while pregnant. I figured if I can have the self control not to ride when my horse isn't 100%, I can have the self control not to ride when *I'm* not. That said, I know people ride when they are well along. Their choice I guess. At least they make me look a little better in tights. :-P Angie ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
