< "Must be a A-rab. They's afeered of
water." Well, I never heard of such a thing.>

A-rabs are so funny!>

Laughed when I read your story, but also reminded me of my little
A'rab (which is my daughter's horse now). She was in training and
she couldn't stand to have any horses behind her so we were always in the
back and following my husbands mutt (suppose to be a quarter horse, but
he's a pretty funny looking one if he is! :-) ) Anyways, we
came to the "creek". The deep, dark, horse eating water monster that
my husbands horse insisted on leaping over...every time...no matter
what. Well, my little A'rab was just following the leader and
leaped, even with me insisting she walk, and she did a perfect landing
into the smack dab middle of the creek, then leaped again for a clean
landing on the other side. Well of course, we had to cross the
"water monster" to get home and as usual, the "mutt" leaped thru the creek
with Sheara in follow...BUT....this time she didn't make a clean landing
on the other side. The bank was a little higher on that side and she
didn't quite leap high enough and ended up landing on her belly with her
legs underneath her. Here I was sitting on top of her debating
whether to jump off...or walk off I should say since my feet were in
the stirrups which were sitting on the ground...but I was a little slow in
my decision and my little A'rab got up and walked on like no big
deal. And ever since her little mishap, (which I know she knows was
her mistake) Sheara will gradually ease her feet into the water and
slowly and carefully walk thru to the other side. This little A'rab
is one of our best trail horses. Yep...them dern A-rabs is afferrd
of water!
