[RC] [Guest] Crossing water with a green Arab - Ridecamp Guest

Dyane Smith sunibey@xxxxxxxxxxx

I think focusing on where you are going and not on what is immediately ahead
is critical to success riding, but I would like to mention that not all
horses read the books. My Foxer loves his grass pasture almost more than
life itself, but he has to cross a small creek to get to it. He's fine now,
almost the best at crossing, but the first year I lived here---yes, I said
"year", Fox refused to cross the creek. The other horses would go out
happily and Fox would cry and moan and curse his lot in life, but he would
not put hoof to water.

Since a year is relatively more patience than I have, I'm happy he was able
to work all this out on his own.

Dyane and Fox (well, I do do bridges really well)
