Re: [RC] woods exposure - A. PerezI was taught that the appropriate response to a man who exposes himself is "Looks like a penis, only smaller." Actually, being 'flashed' can be frightening. Back in grad school I had some creep in skimpy running shorts following me around the library stacks, lifting his shorts-leg and showing me his equipment. When I decided to leave the library, he attempted to get on the elevator with me. I was not about to get on an elevator with this creep, let alone let him follow me home, so I went to the librarians office. He followed me right in and accused ME of harassing HIM! I told him to get lost, and the librarian asked me to file a complaint with the local police, as there had been many reports against him. When she called the campus security guards, they said the flasher had called them a report a woman was harassing him in the library! To make a long story short, months later I go a notice from the court that, at some sort of hearing (which I knew nothing about in advance), his case was dismissed because of his 'fine record doing volunteer work with mental patients'! Pity the poor mental patients! I spent the rest of my grad school career avoiding this creep in the library, which, as a Federal Document Repository, has to be open to the public! ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
