Re: [RC] trailer ramps - Sarah WI have to agree with the going opinion. Forget the ramp and just teach the horse to make the bigger step. I have an older Circle J with a ramp. It has held up throughout the years without warping, but the springs have gotten rusty and the mat has to always be re-screwed down. I have found, though, that it is MUCH harder to train a horse to go up a ramp than step up. It seems to not be a natural way for a horse to walk, and every horse that I've hauled has been very suspicious of the ramp the first few times out. I, too, have also had problems with parking it so that the ramp is even. I have also seen horses act up and put their feet under the ramp causing cuts on their legs, or stepping on the mechanism and causing hoof injuries. I wouldn't buy another ramp trailer again.
