The more air the better. We have hauled in
winter in the Midwest with no problems. Hauled young fillies
from Nebraska to our home in an open stock trailer in February. We
did not blanket because they had never been either in a trailer or had a blanket
on. No problems. I have hauled to condition at 5-10 F, and
hauled a cool but wet horse home in same trailer with no problems.
It is my personal opinion that more horses are to
hot in trailers than are ever to cold.
