[RC] Khazen+/ - Merryben

Becky Hart's AERC Hall of Fame horse,  Khazen died today .  He was 33 years old on April 8th.

Khazen was 63/64 Arabian and if I remember correctly 1/128 standardbred and 1/128 appaloosa.  He was by a stallion named Shebu our of a mare named Cezanna Arkabi. 

Khazen was the first horse to win back to back 50's and get BC a week apart.  It was almost unheard of then.  One of the year's he won the National Championship, he did something like 22 races, winning 19 of them.  Becky and used to call him "Amazing Khazen".  He will be missed by all of us who knew him and by many of Becky's students who learned to ride on him. ....mb
