Re: [RC] re: never lose an easy boot again - Barbara McCraryYour horse is the kind one can use a keeper on without fear for your life. That's where I would use dog collars that buckle on firmly. Warning! Disclaimer: Don't try this with a horse that won't tolerate something dragging and banging around his foot. Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "A. One nice side-affect is that the minute my horse lost a boot with the keeper on, he stopped dead when he felt the boot flapping around, so I knew something was wrong... without the keepers he just kept on trucking and I would have no clue where the boot had come off. The problem I had with them is that in wet, yucky footing, the keeper got wet and the velcro failed, so neither Cy nor I kew anything was amiss, so I lost the boot any way. If I use them again, I think I will modify them so something in addition to the velcro is hoding them in place. Wet velcro just dones not seem to hold. ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
